From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) During pushback of asa flight 5465 from gate one at Stewart airport, NY (kswf), the northwest airlines pushback driver turned the aircraft too soon and was unable to see the wing walker on the left wing who was signaling a stop to avoid a collision with a fuel truck that was properly parked at gate two. The left winglet of the aircraft scraped the fuel truck. The aircraft was pulled back to the gate and deplaned while atlantic aviation maintenance evaluated the damage. The damage was found to be cosmetic only and the aircraft was returned to service by the atlantic aviation mechanic.
