From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) During flight, airman master caution light began blinking for a hydraulic system failure, and then stayed on steadily with the gauge indicating 0 PSI. The emergency backup hydraulic tank indicated 100 PSI. Airman used the emergency tank pressure to lower the landing gear, which then lower the emergency tank pressure to 50 PSI. On landing rollout airman felt no braking from normal handbrake, airman then used the emergency brake and felt little initial braking. Airman continue increasing pressure using the emergency brake to slow down, but applied to much pressure and felt the sudden slowdown due to a blown tire and started veering to the right and rolled into the grass of the runway. Investigation of the incident revealed an elbow fitting attached to the hydraulic pump failed, causing the hydraulic system to loss pressure.

As the FAA filed it
