From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Mr. Shawn raker the pilot of N2399V stated that the brakes on his aircraft gave out after he landed on runway 2R at Peachtree-Dekalb airport. He departed the runway at taxiway "a" and came to rest 20 yards from the runway edge. After the brake system was inspected by maintenance personnel, it was noted that the brake system functioned properly and that the pressure in the system was low. Maintenance personnel serviced the brake system and found no other problem that would have caused the brakes to fail.
