From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot made statement;on Sunday, April 19th, I made a flight from willow to denali national park. On my return trip the same day I landed in the Talkeetna mountains. When I landed, the snow was harder than I expected, and my Taylorcraft (27740) did not stop sliding as soon as I had thought it would. Just as my plane came to a stop it slowly slid into a gully with some rocks, breaking one ski. My passenger and I were not hurt.
