From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The certicated private pilot was flying on a VFR flight from klbf to kjyr. The pilot made a straight-in long final for runway 17 at kjyr which, along with the rest of the airport, was closed for construction. The pilot flew over men and equipment working on the runway and landed the aircraft on runway 17. The aircraft was not damaged in the landing and no airport property or construction equipment was harmed. There were no injuries. The private pilot taxied clear of the runway, but had to stop to move barricades for access to the ramp. The pilot was then informed that the airport was closed by ground personnel.
