From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The certificated commercial pilot was landing on runway 17 in klnk. The wing reported at the time of the landing was 230° at 17 knots gusting to 27 knots. The crosswind angle between the runway and the prevailing wind was 60°. Low level wind shear advisories were in effect at the time of the landing. The commercial pilot touched down on runway 17. Upon touchdown, the aircraft weathervaned into the wind. The pilot applied full left rudder, but was unable to correct the wind induced yaw. The aircraft exited runway 17 on the west side into the grass. The aircraft was not damaged in the landing and no airport property was struck by the airplane. The pilot was able to taxi back onto the runway and continue to the cast ramp.
