From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Aircraft departed pou at approximately 0900 local time on a training Flight. Twenty minutes into the Flight the aircraft engine began to loose power (4500 RPM to 3500 RPM). An emergency landing was performed into a local field approximately 5 miles north of pou. The aircraft was undamaged and the occupants uninjured. Possible improper mixture of fuel and two stroke oil on prior operation may be a factor. A broken ignition ground was also noted during the on-site inspection. Engine will be sent to manufacturer for inspection.
