From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) This was an instrument currency flight so 2 pilots were the minimum flight crew required. Both pilots confirmed that the landing gear was down and locked before landing the aircraft. Upon landing on runway 17 at Decatur Municipal Airport the landing gear collapsed. The owners reported that the landing gear had received maintenance within the previous 3 months. The landing gear handle was confirmed in the gear down position. The circuit breaker was not popped out. The landing gear doors did not receive any damage. This report is closed.
