From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Approximately 1430 hours eastern local time, during takeoff on a soft runway (grass strip) parallel to runway 15-33, the instructor pilot elected to abort due to the failure of the aircraft to accelerate. Pilot landed beyond the intersecting runway 6-24 onto the grass field. During roll-out, the nose gear wheel/tire sheared off of the end of the strut, due to the terrain, causing the aircraft to suddenly stop and flip over. Substantial damage to the aircraft incurred. Minor injuries to both the instructor and student pilots.
