From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot of N4329F on the morning of Saturday, June 20, 2009 was treating a field just outside of Dyer, AR with herbicide. He stated he had treated the field before and was familiar with the powerlines that run across the field. His plan was to fly under the lines while spraying, but as he got close he noticed the bottom line was sagging. He manuevered to miss the lines, but the propeller tip cut the lines, the severed powerlines struck the left wing tip thereby causing separation of the wingtip and associated fiberglass panels. While assessing the situation and the damage to the aircraft while still in the air, he decided to fly back to his home base in webbers falls, OK. He landed in webbers falls, ok without incurring any further damage to the aircraft.
