From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Commerical/instrument (1200 hour pilot) and another eye witness saw the aircraft make a hard landing on the main gear and then bounce several feet up in the air. Aircraft floated above runway for about 50 feet, and then came down hard on the nose with the landing gear 85% retracted. Aircraft skidded down runway on nearly completely retracted nose gear, and propeller struck the runway several times before aircraft came to rest on retracted gear. Landing gear functioned normally once aircraft was placed on jacks on runway. Minor damage to belly skins and nose gear doors found, a bent propeller, and broken nose gear extension rods observed.
