From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot was conducting local flight out of Stockmar Airport (20GA) after aircraft returned from annual inspection. Made one touch and go on rwy 28 without incident. On second touch and go, when tailwheel lowered to runway a severe shimmying began with an abrupt turn to the left. Pilot applied hard right rudder and brake without effect. Aircraft departed runway, through a small berm, with centrifugal side forces causing right wing to strike the ground and nose pitching over. Propeller struck ground. Damage appears confined to right wing-tip, engine cowling and propeller scoring, although no structural damage is visible on the propeller. Additional damage: one runway light.
