From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot scraped wingtip on fence for several feet before catching the wingtip on a fencepost, puncturing the wingtip and causing the aircraft to pivot from the puncture area. The aircraft propeller came into contact with the fence lifting it out of the ground. The fence came to rest on the aircraft nose, damaging the propeller and scratching the nose cowl. Pilot thought that a crack in the tarmac had cought the wheel and caused the aircraft to spin, however post incident examination of the side revealed damage, contact marks, scratches, and paint transfer prior to the crack in the tarmac.

As the FAA filed it
