From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) A witness observed the flight prior to the accident and stated that the aircraft took off and did a roll. It then did a loop with too low of an altitude. The pilot couldn't pull out of the loop and the aircraft struck the ground. Emergency personnel removed the pilot from the wreckage by cutting him free. He complained of back and mid-section pain. A telephone interview with the pilot was conducted on August 3, 2009. The pilot stated that he believed the accident was caused by stalling the aircraft at a low altitude.
