From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

While practicing touch and go's in the patern at the lakeview airport, at approximately 1745 on final approach to runway 30 for the third landing an initial flare was performed. The gyrocopter ballooned slightly at about 5 feet off the runway. The pilot added power, the aircraft yawed to the right, the pilot added left rudder. The tail wheel touched down and the hard flare was performed. The aircrafts nose spun hard left when the main wheels touched which tipped the aircraft to the right. The aircraft ended up on its right side on the north side of runway 30.
