From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Student pilot gao peiding was participating with his initial solo flight at the Glendale, AZ airport. His instructor, mindy sell, after appropriately endorsing Mr. Peiding, exited the aircraft and proceeded into the terminal building. Mr. Peiding proceeded to complete the first takeoff and landing to a full stop and taxied back for another departure. During the landing phase of this second solo flight Mr. Peiding appears to have landed hard and lost control of the aircraft. The Piper PA-28 aircraft exited the ruwway to the west, spinning almost one full clockwise revolution, coming to rest between the runway and the west side taxi way alpha.
