From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On August 27, 2009, at 2002 local time, an air-cam, N950TC, registered to and piloted by robert dale meyer, crashed on landing at the Ravalli County Airport, Hamilton, Montana (6S5) on the southern part of the active taxiway. The aircraft had lost the rt maing landing gear wheel earlier that flight, which only left the rt landing gear shaft to contact the ground upon landing. When the rt l/g shaft dug into the dirt at the east edge of the taxiway, it spun the aircraft to a stop, damaging the front bottom area of fuselage, rt side of fuselage near the pilots seat, rear of fuselage behind the wing strut mounts and tail wheel mount. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time, and no flight plan was filed. The aircraft was substantially damaged, and the private pilot, the sole occupant, was uninjured. The flight originated at the Ravalli County Airport, Hamilton mt. (6S5) at around 1830 MDT. NTSB: wayne pollack 310-380-5654.
