From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

In an experimental market survey turbine powered airplane, on approach to runway pilot lowered the landing gear control. He became distracted and did not notice that the gear did not actuate. After the landing flair the aircraft settled onto the runway and slide to a stop. Pilot, wife, and daughter onboard received no injuries. Post landing inspecton showed that the electrically driven landing gear motor did not work. The aircraft received little damage to fuselage skin. Majority of the slide was absorbed by the flap hinge arms and the flap trailing edge.
