From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

According to PIC, he landed on rwy 18 near the touchdown zone marker and applied brakes but they were ineffective. With 1,000' remaining, he observed 80 KTS IAS. The aircraft continued off the end of the rwy, struck two reil's, and traveled approximately 530 feet in a gradual left-turning arc before coming to a stop facing north. Post-incident investigation revealed main gear door damage and side scuffing to the right main tire. The brake and anti-skid system tested sat. There were tstms in the area prior to his landing and the rwy was wet. According to the landing distance charts in the AFM, 3000' was required; however, 20 percent needed to be added for landing with a 1% downslope (3600'). When factoring in a wet rwy, the landing distance chart in the advisory section depicts a rwy requirement of 5,200'. Length of fwy 18 is 4,098'. Incident#ICE052009026 is closed with this report.
