From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Skywest airlines flight 4666 operating from Salt Lake City to spokane on October 3, 2009 declared an emergency at 26,000 ft and returned to Salt Lake City. The crew reported a cargo door unsafe message, a loss of cabin pressure and the inability to control the pressurizatoin rate. The crew executed and emergency descent through 15,000 ft. the cargo door sealed and the pressurization rate was controlled. The aircraft landed without further incident. The ground crew noted that the aft cargo door was closed when the aircraft returned to the gate. Maintenance technicians inspected the cargo door: the seal and the surround structure. There were no discrepancies noted. The technicians performed the fault isolation manual procedures for the cargo door message and determined that the door proximity sensor harness was faulty. The harness was replaced and the pressurization check of the door was performed. There is no history of pressurization problems or cargo door message for this aircraft. A functional check flight was performed on October 4, 2009 and all systems checked normal. The aircraft has been operating for several days without any discrepancies noted with the cargo door of the pressurization system.
