From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On October 4, 2009, at 1640 eastern daylight time, a Cessna 210, N9443T, registered to a private owner, operating under title 14 code of federal regulations part 91 while being operated for flight training sustained a hydraulic system failure, subsequently resulting in the landing gear failing to extend and lock in the down position. A gear up landing was executed on runway 24 at Bowman Field, Louisville, KY (klou). The two occupants, certificated commercial pilot and flight instructor were not injured during the event. Upon coming to a stop, the aircraft cantered and tilted to the left and the left elevator and horizontal stabilizer contacted the ground in a downward manner and sustained substantial damage due to upward bending to the horizontal stabilizer spar and wrinkling and crushing to the elevator skin. The left wingtip did contact the ground, however, sustained no damage. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed and no flight plan was filed. Aircraft moved to owners hangar at klou. Examination revealed hydraulic line failed in nose gear wheel well area. At the request of NTSB the line was removed and forwarded to NTSB for further examination.
