From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Student pilot, on solo cross country, landed at E25 for a full stop landing. While taxiing to parking ramp, student taxied between the terminal building and the self-fueling pumps. Student pilot attempted to stay clear of fuel pumps by following the white painted line around the pumps and taxied so wide around pumps that the left wing tip contacted the fence in front of the terminal building. This contact caused the aircraft to turn to the left very abruptly and the prop contacted the fence as well.
