From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft took off from kopf with 2 passengers. After take off, pilot selected gear up handle. Pilot got intransit indication followed by two up and one intransit. Pilot cycled the gear and got three up indication. (Pilot states) owner of aircraft was doing a pre buy flight of aircraft. Attempted to show buyers how the aircraft can land on water. Pilot was unaware that the right main landing gear had hung up and stayed in the down position. Upon touch down in the water, the hung gear caused drag and made the aircraft left wing contact the water causing the aircraft to make an abrupt stop. Both passengers and pilot were uninjured. Pilot indicated that he got no warning lights in cockpit of gear down/in transit.
