From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Captain privacy data omitted, the flying pilot, advanced thrust levers through 42% N1. The aircraft began to slide to the right. Take off was aborted. Right main landing gear caught an unplowed area along runway edge, producing enough drag to cause the aircraft to turn to the right. The aircraft came to a stop with the left main gear and nosewheel on the runway, but right main was of the edge of runway. No damage to aircraft was noted, thus aircraft taxied to hangar under it's own power. Further inspection revealed no damage. Aircraft ferried to (kcak), maintenance base for further inspection. Maintenance inspection consisted of landing gear, and flaps. Removed and replaced main wheels, tires, and replaced brakes. Preformed gear retraction iaw challenger mm psp 601-2, chapter 32-30-00 and results were satisfactory. Aircraft returned to service. A)crew received additional training in cold weather operations from the supplement to AFM from chief pilot. B) flight department will incorporate changes to their fom:1) to restrict take off on runways that not have not been plowed full width. 2)restrict take off when braking action has been reported less than fair unless the runway has been sanded.
