From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 02-07-2010 aircraft N6263D departed kffz at approximately 0805 and proceeded north east to fountain hills. In cruise at 3000 AGL south bound from fountain hills the engine started to run rough and the decision was made to return to kffz. In route to kffz about 3 to 4 miles from the airport the engine stopped. The pilot said he could not make it back to kffz and the decision was made to land in red mountain park. On touch down at the park, a pedestrian walked out across the park causing the pilot to turn the aircraft to avoid the pedestrian and came to rest after hitting a rest room facility at the park. The pilot did not sustain any injuries and the passenger received minor injuries to their forehead. The aircraft sustained substantial damage with no fire.
