The aircraft wings, engines, propellers, and nose where completely destroyed on impact, about forty percent of the fuselage and the tail section was still intact. The aircraft came to rest approximately 175 feet from initial impact point. According to the eye witness, the aircraft was spotted on final approach in wings level flight, then it banked hard left and entered a steep vertical descent until it was out of sight.
