From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Robert e elliott the pilot of N4XK and theodore j. o'malley the pilot of N1979T made plans to land at the Dixie Usfs airstrip. The plan was that N1979T would land and turn around at the end of the runway and N4XK would land next. N1979T was at the end of the runway when N4XK landed. The runway conditions was packed snow. Mr. Elliott landed and found that he was not slowing down as he had done on previous landings that day. He made an effort to use the right side of the runway were the snow was not as compact. Within a hundred feet of the previous landing aircaft he veered to the left directly at N1979T. The aircraft collided with the parked aircraft.
