From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

N217AT, bushby mustang ii home built, ground looped on landing at Apple Valley airport runway 18. The aircraft touched down in a three point attitude with Mr. Bruhnke rapidly over controlling the rudder causing the aircraft's direction of travel to be erratic. Mr bruhnke applied full right rudder then full left rudder causing the aircraft to swerve right then rapidly left. The CFI (caraway) applied full left rudder to correct. The aircraft departed the runway's left side, collapsed its gear and rotated left to a heading of 330 degrees.
