From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Helicopter was sitting on ground running at full power after uneventful landing. Base pilot in right seat had allowed new hire pilot in left seat to fly and make the landing. The new hire pilot stated that he felt the helicopter rock back so he made forward cyclic input resulting in all four rotor blades striking the upper wire strike protection system. All four blades recieved dents to the leading edge, the wire strike was bent over, the right hand green house broke out and the mast moment indicator light iluminated.
