From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

At landing, during the initial rollout there was enough nose wheel shimmy the pilot pulled back on the yoke in order to raise the nose causing the liftoff / bounce sequence . The hard impact collapsed the nose gear strut and caused the prop strike at the end of the second bounce. After the aircraft came to a full stop on the runway, pilot tried to taxi but the steering favored only turns to the right. Therefore, he cleared the runway byturning to the right onto the grass between the taxiway and runway. Once clear, the engine was shutdown. (Taken from the pilots statement)

As the FAA filed it

AT LANDING,DURING THE INITIAL ROLLOUT THERE WAS ENOUGH NOSE WHEEL SHIMMY THE PILOT PULLED BACK ON THE YOKE IN ORDER TO RAISE THE NOSE CAUSING THE LIFTOFF / BOUNCE SEQUENCE .
