From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft was in line taxiway e, short of taxiway E10, for departure 18C . Clt tower asked if able to depart from taxiway E10, the crew replied that runway length was acceptable. Tower cleared aircraft to taxi into position and hold 18C at E10. During the turn the right wingtip contacted the rudder of N508AY, which was stopped just north of taxiway E10, slicing the rudder approximately 18 to 24 inches in the upper span.
