From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Info gathered from AAL-FSDO-01 inspector notes, national park ranger report 10-0292 and ranger photos, statement from pilot: in denali national park, mckinley river/bear creek: during landing roll-out on off-field rocky gravelbar between rivers, right landing gear detached as bolts for gear attachment bracket sheared (1) and bent (1). Right gear detachment appears to have occurred when going across a 10-inch high gravel embankment (according to ranger description). Ranger photos show what appears to be one, possibly two ruts, which were likely carved out by water. Belly, right wing and propeller struck ground surface.
