From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot stated that the approach to runway 36 was normal and the aircraft touched down on the main landing gear. As the nose wheel contacted the runway during the landing rollout, the aircraft veered uncontrollably to the left of the runway centerline. Despite the application of right rudder and right brake, the aircraft exited the runway to the left, crossed the parallel taxiway, and came to a rest in a drainage ditch. The aircraft has canadian registration #cgbmy and the pilot held canadian pilot license privacy data omitted.
