From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The crew of flight #TCF7630 had been cleared by ATC to descend and level off at FL290. As the crew leveled off at FL290 the crew received a resolution advisory from the TCAS indicating they should "climb." The first officer on the controls initiated a climb as the crew observed a military T38 to their left and turning toward aircraft N856RW (their aircraft). The T38 passed from left to right below them. A passenger was in the lavatory and was injured during the event. The passenger was transported to a hospital when they landed at new orleans (msy).
