From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot stated that they were high on final and slipped the airplane to lose altitude. She stated that she must have picked up some airspeed and was fast but didn't float and hit the runway very hard, bouncing high. The airplane bounced several times before she applied the brakes and was able to come to a stop. The aircraft sustained a blown nose wheel tire and one prop blade contacted the ground. 09/21/10 further inspection of aircraft found substantial damage to engine firewall.
