From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Accident location was the geu airport. The home built aircraft was on it's first flight with the builder/pilot plus a passenger aboard. The accident occurred during landing. Damage to the aircraft was substantial. The front landing gear was torn off. The right landing gear was bent up and under the fuselage. There is impact damage to both wings. The propeller was sheered off. There is damage to the nose cone. Both the pilot in command (Mr. Ed ricks) and the passenger (privacy data omitted) reported no injuries from the accident. Based on the accident happening during landing, it has been determined that the cause of the accident is pilot error - failure to control the aircraft during landing.
