What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
The pilot landed and on roll out he came up with the full bata on the props. The aircrft started to veer to the left and before he could get to the steering tiller the aircraft left the runway. It traveled a Short distance in the grass and then struck a runway sign destroying the sign completely. The instructor could not assist because the tiller wheel was on the left side of the fuselage and he could not reach it to turn the aircraft.
