From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Initial report of accident was received on 11/23/2010. The occurrence happened on 11/11/10: 1728 UTC. Report of aircraft landing with gear up. Aircraft: Mooney MO20. Canadian registration: c-gfrppilot: terance lambpilot certification # privacy data omitted – private (foreign based) valid with canadian pilot license # privacy data omitted. An onsite inspection of the aircraft was performed. The inspection of the aircraft provides an indication that the landing gear was down during landing, but that the johnson bar (landing gear handle) was not locked into place. This resulted in the right landing gear, then the left landing gear folding back into the fuselage during landing. Combination gear folding up resulted in the initial 'gear up landing' report to the NTSB.
