From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

FAA arrived at accident scene at approximately 1130 hrs. Palm beach sheriff was at the scene with the area secured. The pilot was not at the scene and was taken to the hospital. Inspection of the crash site revealed that the helicopter came in with forward momentum and in a right turn nose down attitude. The right skid initially contacted the ground causing the helicopter to flip forward and on its right side. This caused substantial damage to the aircraft. An interview with the pilot was conducted on 12-09-10. He stated that he was conducting "frost control" at a farm field near Pahokee area. At approximately 0700 hours he radioed the other helicopters and informed them that he was tired and will be returning back to the airport at 0730. He lost consciousness at the end of the north side of the field over the power lines. When he regains consciousness he felt like something ran into him. He then realized that he just crashed the helicopter. The pilot was able to egress the helicopter. He was taken to the hospital were he was diagnosed with a broken right ankle and bruises to head and some parts of his body.
