From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot departed runway 25R at deer valley airport. After rotation the engine quit. The pilot landed on taxi way bravo and continued off he taxiway onto the airport perimeter road. While the pilot was holding short of the runway waiting for departure, there was a runway change n progress, he told ATC that he would need to taxi back to the ramp to get more fuel. ATC cleared him to taxi to the ramp. ATC then told the pilot that he could depart, the runway change was complete or that he could continue to the ramp for fuel. The pilot stated he was ready to take off. Shortly after he departed he stated he was out of fuel and was landing on the taxiway. This aircraft is equipped with fuel tanks that hold 26 gallons total and 22.5 useable fuel. The pilot then fueled the aircraft with 24.5 gallons of fuel and departed the airport.
