From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

During take off of aircraft N99DW, which was piloted by privacy data omitted from runway 30L at the sjc airport, a loss of power was noted by the right seat pilot privacy data omitted. At this time privacy data omitted assumed control of the aircraft and performed an emergency landing on runway 30L .the emergency landing resulted in the aircraft coming to rest near the end of the runway. The aircraft's left landing gear did not fully extend and lock prior to the aircraft coming to a complete stop. The left engine propeller struck the runway and was damaged .when the aircraft came to rest the left wing contacted the runway resulting in the left aileron and wing tip being damaged due to the left landing gear not being down and locked.
