From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

CFI privacy data omitted was sharing flight duties and costs with privacy data omitted (a student pilot). At the time of the incident, privacy data omitted was flying. His approach airspeed got approximately 10 KTS low and he was high on the glide path. There was a resulting hard three point touchdown followed by an approximately 10 ft high bounce. During the bounce, privacy data omitted took the controls. During the second touchdown, the nosewheel had turned 90 degrees to the landing direction and broke off. This caused the prop to strike the ground. No injuries.
