From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot was on a day VFR flight from kit carson county airport, burlington, co (kitr), landing on runway 35 at Great Bend Municipal Airport, Great Bend, KS (kgbd). He stated he moved the gear selector, but it did not go all the way to the "gear down" detent, and he failed to verify the gear as down prior to landing gear up. He discovered the misplaced gear selector switch after coming to a stop on the runway. The aircraft received minor damage and the pilot and his one passenger were uninjured.
