From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

N786CC, was departing Logan cache valley airport (Klgu) at approximately 0454 UTC on an IFR flight plan. The aircraft had 2 crew and 8 passengers. There were no injuries to any crew or passengers. The weather conditions at Klgu at 0451 UTC was: wind 350 at 11 knots, visibility ½ mile, snow, freezing fog, broken at 300', overcast at 900', temperature -03, dew point, -03, altimeter 29.54. The crew had the aircraft deiced after leaving the fixed base operator, Utah jet center. The aircraft was departing Klgu on runway 35, which at the time had a contaminated runway that was covered in light snow, according to the pilots. During takeoff roll, the pilot-not-flying (pnf) was verifying call out information. The pnf looked down to verify speeds and saw the aircraft at approximately 62-65 knots. When the pnf looked back up at the runway, he noticed the aircraft was drifting right. He told the pilot-flying (pf) to correct left. The pf was unable to correct the aircraft back to the left and the aircraft went off to the right side of the runway approximately 20 feet at an approximate heading of 320 degrees. The damage was reported as from an airworthiness inspector; damage to the right hand spoiler, right hand taxi light lens, nose wheel, and foreign object damage to the right hand engine.
