From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The plt rptd that the acft experienced a wind gust from the right side a few seconds after touchdown on rwy 32. The gust lifted the tail, and he applied power and right rudder in an attempt to maintain control of the acft. The acft departed the rwy briefly before he was able to regain control and get it back on the rwy. The plt was asked if he obsvd any other acft off to the side of the rwy that might have created prop wash or jet blast across the rwy as he landed. He stated that he did not observe any such acft. Noaa ncdc climate data for fpr on 3/7/2011 indicates that wind conditions around the time of the incident were from 010 deg at 9 mph, with occasional gusts to 17 mph. Post-incident inspection of the acft revealed damage to the propeller tips and the left wing tip fairing indicative of contact with the paved rwy.
