From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot was executing the RNAV 19 approach to kent state university airport. Pilot arrived at mda and visually located the airport and proceeded to land on runway 19.pilot indicated that he was high on his approach to the runway and crossed the runway threshold 200 feet high. Pilot landed approx. 2/3 down the runway due to being high on the approach and slightly above airspeed on the final segment of the approach. Although the pilot considered going-around, the decision to land was based on his experience with lighter aircraft and, by his account, being able to land in 1,000 feet ground roll. Pilot ran off the far-end of the runway. Aircraft was evacuated without incident or injury to the pilot and passengers.
