From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot attempted to land at buy and was distracted by a 33 knot cross wind and forgot to put the gear down. Right prop struck runway at about 1000 foot marks. Right prop continued to strike runway until 3000-foot mark. At that time, the left prop struck the runway. Aircraft skidded to a stop 50 feet from that point. The pilot attempted to lower the landing gear after the first signs of right prop striking runway. Gear was unable to extend down fully and folded back up into the wheel wells after touching down.
