From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

During climbout at about 600 feet the engine began to sputter and lost power. The pilot began emergency procedures but could not get the engine to run at full power. The pilot found a bulivard with a wide median and attempted an emergency landing on the median. After touchdown the aircraft had to much speed to stop in time to avoid a cross street which had a minvan crossing at the time. The aircraft collided with the minivan causing substantail damage to the aircraft. Investigation reveiled the left wing fuel tank was low on fuel causing a depletion of fuel to the engine.
