From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot initially overflew the 2000 foot sod runway (elevation 2800 feet) to check the wind direction/velocity. The winds at the time of the accident were gusty and a right crosswind. The pilot elected to land on runway 02. The pilot stated that his airspeed at touchdown was approximately 90 mph. He touched down with approximately 800 feet of runway remaining. When he applied the brakes he stated that the aircraft showed no signs of slowing down due to the slippery grass. The aircraft departed the end of the runway hitting a fence post, crossing a small ditch and road. The aircraft came to rest in a field approximately 50-75 feet from the end of the runway.
