From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On approach to Oakland Airport (oak), Oakland, CA; the pilot in command (PIC) reported to oak air traffic control tower (ATCT) an unsafe left main landing gear indication. An emergency was initiated and the appropriate response equipment was dispatched and in place. The PIC was on an ILS approach to runway 27R, upon breaking out of the clouds at about 1600 feet AGL the PIC asked actc for a go around to visually verify his gear position. Actc notified the PIC that three landing gear were visible. The PIC was cleared for closed traffic and approach to runway 27R. The PIC followed all checklist requirements and performed the appropriate briefing and preparation for the five passengers onboard. The PIC initiated the approach, landing the aircraft on runway 27R. Initial touchdown and rollout were uneventful. At end of landing roll and right angle exit to the taxiway the left main landing gear slowly began to collapse, rate of aircraft movement was estimated at 5 knots or less. The PIC exercised immediate corrective action and began shutting down the aircraft engines and systems. The PIC verified fuel loss and determined no fire potential existed. He initiated safe evacuation of the five passengers onboard without further incident. No injuries to the PIC or passengers.
